Tourists who are disrespectful of their culture and environment are generally considered least respectful. Examples of disrespectful behaviors include not being mindful of sacred spaces, leaving behind trash, and taking home sand and other natural resources. Additionally, people who exhibit a sense of entitlement or who disregard local customs and traditions are considered to be disrespectful. Finally, those who are not aware of the cultural significance of certain words or phrases, or who do not take the time to learn about local culture, are considered to be the least respectful.
